The five main components of flat towing a vehicle are going to be your base plate, which attaches to the vehicle, your tow bar, your braking system, your diode wiring, and your safety chains. Now each of these components are gonna play a part in safely towing your vehicle down the road. Your base plate is going to allow you to connect your tow bar to it.
